도시는 길을 만들지만, 살아가는 방법까지 알려주지는 않는다.

같은 장소를 지나도 누군가는 속도를 익히고, 누군가는 피할 곳을 찾고, 누군가는 오래 바라보는 법을 배운다. 어떤 방법은 선택처럼 보이고, 어떤 방법은 어쩔 수 없이 몸에 밴 반응처럼 남는다. 그러나 시간이 지나면 알게 된다. 그 사소한 방식들이 우리를 이곳에 머물게 했다는 것을.

「이 도시의 생존법」에는 도시를 살아가며 만들어진 경험과 태도들이 놓인다.
작가들은 자신이 지나온 장소, 기억 속에 남은 풍경, 혹은 상상으로 다시 조립한 도시를 통해 각자의 방식을 이미지로 드러낸다. 여기서 도시는 배경이 아니라, 사람이 자기만의 감각을 만들어내는 조건이다.

전시장에 놓인 이미지들은 서로 다른 방향을 가리킨다.
어떤 것은 낯설고, 어떤 것은 이상할 만큼 익숙하다. 관람자는 그 사이를 지나며 타인의 방법을 보게 되고, 동시에 자신이 무심코 반복해온 생존의 형식을 떠올리게 된다.

이 전시는 도시의 정답을 찾지 않는다.
다만 각자가 겨우 찾아낸 통로들을 따라간다.
그 통로들이 모여, 우리가 아직 이 도시 안에 있다는 사실을 조용히 보여준다.

Cities create roads, but they do not teach us how to survive them.

Even when passing through the same place, some learn to keep pace, some find places to hide, and some learn how to linger and observe. Some ways of living appear to be choices, while others remain as responses unconsciously ingrained in the body. Yet, with time, we come to realize that these small habits are what have allowed us to remain here.

Urban Survival Playbook presents the experiences and attitudes shaped through living in the city.

Through places they have passed, landscapes preserved in memory, or cities reassembled through imagination, the artists reveal their own ways of navigating urban life through images. Here, the city is not merely a backdrop, but a condition through which individuals develop their own sensibilities and ways of being.

The images gathered in the exhibition point in different directions.

Some feel unfamiliar, while others seem strangely familiar. As visitors move between them, they encounter the methods of others and, at the same time, are reminded of the forms of survival they themselves have repeated without noticing.

This exhibition does not seek a single answer to the city.

Instead, it follows the pathways that each person has managed to discover.

Together, these paths quietly reveal that we are still here, living within this city.
